Born and raised in Dublin, from an early age I’ve had a love of Carpentry & Construction Studies during my time in Secondary School one of very first projects was designing and building my own fire place for my leaving cert project made entirely from hand. I also have a keen interest in Football having represented Dublin in Croke Park in the School’s Team Division. Most recently I’m enjoying being a participant in the 5k Park Runs every Saturday morning and a great fan of awesome walls
From leaving school I sought to refine my skills by gaining experience on numerous commercial construction sites and served as an apprentice carpenter until I gained my qualifications. Furthermore, having gained essential experience in the area of construction, I attended Dun Laoighaire College of Further Education and Blancherstown college to expand my educational portfolio in the area of design , health and safety and home energy efficiency . I have also worked in Canada with a reputable International Construction Company part of a stadium and smaller projects in holland
At a time when some Companies were shutting down due to the recession, i used this moment to open up my own business, Dublin Carpentry & Construction in 2008. Having weathered many storms, including the recession & the Convid 19 pandemic, my company has grown from strength to strength due in large part to the hard work ethic and strong rapport we have established with our clients many of whom have commissioned future work on their properties.
I have great interest in Conservation having had the privilege of working on many Period Properties and Protected Structures including the National Art Gallery of Ireland and Newman House and will endeavor to learn new skills and challenge myself and my company to be a leader in our field
